J. Wright Middleton

Janelle is a New York native, author, spoken word artist, inspirational speaker, playwright and publisher. She is the founding director of Vision Directives, a publishing service company which also houses Hug-Ya-Self, a ministry for young teens, focused on helping girls to combat and overcome issues associated with low self-esteem. Her published works include: “Ice Cream Kiss: A Mother’s Drama, A Daughter’s Journey,” “Things I Wish He Knew – Our Letters of Truth” and “Things I Wish He Knew – Letters from Women to Men”,” Blue-Jays ‘n Butterflies” and “12 Rules of Perfection.” In addition to her own published works, Janelle coaches and publishes new authors in their literary endeavors. Janelle is also a seasoned playwright, director and producer. She has written, directed and produced four stage plays: “Sunday Brunch: Marriage Uncovered,” “Like Mother, Like Daughter, Like Me,” “The Magdalene Monologues,” and “Things I Wish He Knew.” She also created and produced her own talk show called “On The Inside”. Janelle has been a contributing writer in Smooches Magazine, Today’s Purpose Woman Magazine, Kish Magazine and the NAACP’s The Crisis Magazine
